User Data Policy


Overview

Advise and the Advise Sales Assist mobile app are offered to clients on a group license basis, where the Parent Company agrees the licence to Advise for use by it’s employees.

The production versions of Advise and the Sales Assist app do not provide self-service registration for users – instead users are registered and on-boarded as an administration task by the Advise technicians in conjunction with the user registration requests of the Parent Company.

Personal Data

Advise maintains a small user profile for each user containing the following personal information:

  • First and Last name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Role and Department (in some cases)

All personal data is encrypted during transmission using latest security protocols. Personal data is stored in a secure database, within the Advise cloud infrastructure and all passwords are hashed and salted with original password text never being stored. Personal data is not used for any other purpose other than to enable authentication and ensure consistent operation of the Advise solution.

Data Control

User accounts are administered by Advise technicians in conjunction with Parent Company representatives, with user addition and deletion being controlled centrally.

If as a user, you would like to request a copy of the personal details on record, or if as a user you would like to request a change in or deletion of the personal information on record, please reach out via the inbuilt Support Request functionality within the Advise solution, or via email to users@www2.adviseconsumergoods.com.
